friends

Arngrim is Lawfer's best friend, and best competition. Lawfer is always one step behind Arngrim's status, and he tries so hard to be just like him, to the point where he doesn't believe he can really do it. Arngrim is Lawfer's sense of intelligence and his kind of anchor to keep his thoughts down to Earth. He tends to keep Lawfer aware of what's around him, and tells him that he isn't what Lawfer really sees him to be. Arngrim believes there's something really good in Lawfer, he just needs to find it for himself without Arngrim having to hold his hand all the time.

Roland is Arngrim's brother. Lawfer riskes his life to get Roland out of jail just for Arngrim's sake. Roland could be a symbol of justice to Lawfer and in the game as a whole. He was placed in jail for Arngrim's wrong doings, even though he didn't do anything to cause any wrong. Lawfer sacrifices his life to redeem the wrongful prejudice that was put onto Rolands back.

Kashell tried to tell Lawfer not to go off and save Roland. Best possiblites is that they were soldiers of some sort with eachother, or just friends through battle. Kashell obviously feels that Lawfer should not go risk his life for something so small as "justice" or the "law". He doesn't want to see his friend waste his life on something so stupid. He would have much rather gone with Lawfer to atleast help him against whatever is to come into his way. It seems that Kashell never really understood Lawfer's great devotion to both correcting wrongs and his best Arngrim.

Celia also tried to keep Lawfer from going out and risking his life to save Roland. She too, could have befriended him by either soldiers or friends through battle. She tries to convince Lawfer that working together would get the best result, but he wouldn't have it. Celia, too, might have had a low understanding of Lawfer's great devotions.

Aelia isn't seen with Lawfer in the game, but she is mentioned when Celia is going into the tomb place (give me a break, I haven't played in a long time) to defeat Gray. It seems to me that the four we're going after him for the wrongs he had done in the past. So that's perhaps the connection between them all. This would mean that Lawfer was also friends with Aelia, and enemies with Gray.

Valkyrie saved Lawfer's soul when he died. Though they might not be friends, there's atleast some type of feeling go on there. She must find his intense sense of justice a good point, for she would not have taken his soul if it wasn't. She admires his ability to sacrifice everything, which would mean he'd be a loyal fighter to the Aesir.
