The big question from everybody that's played Valkyrie Profile... How did Lawfer die? The reason was never answered, it was just like, "BOOM! Hey, what's up guys! ^_^" and he was in your party. Weeellll, there are some possibilites on how he passed on.
While trying to save Roland from jail, there could be a possiblity that he got caught by some guards that happened to go through, and might have slain him.
The other possiblity is from a doujinshi (visual comic) that was created around the death of Lawfer (this comic was actually made to mirror the game, so it's more likely to be true). It was based around a Vampire killing Lawfer on his way to saving Roland. Personally, now that I think about it, this reasoning makes much more sense; because Lawfer is of high standards, he probably would get off for trying to save a friend. Let's admit it, those Vampires show up out of nowhere, and they don't care who you are or what you're doing.
Though neither is really the truth, per se. But they can give us some pretty close ideas on how Lawfer was killed.
